Scope of the Workshop
The workshop will be held at the Ringberg
a conference site of the Max-Planck-Society,
overlooking Lake Tegernsee in the Bavarian Alps. There will be about
two and a half days for presentations and
discussions. On top of that, the many rooms at Ringberg Castle give
very nice opportunities to meet informally and discuss the technical
smaller groups while having one or the other glass of good wine.
The aim of the workshop is to bring the ILC vertex
community together and to have enough time to speak about the
challenges and opportunities at the ILC in more detail. Working
together, sharing experiences, and tackling
the common problems and technology independent questions as a community
is vital for the project which now goes into a new
phase for the years to come.
Plenary presentations held by invited experts in the field will cover
The workshop should provide an in-depth overview of the project
status and give a basis for the compilation of a "White Paper" which will be used as a Backup
Document of the project.
